An impaired driver, a father and a police officer... what do these three people have in common and how were they all impacted by one decision?

Named as one of Canada's top impaired driving prevention presentations, The Impact of One Decision is one presentation you do not want to miss! Several teachers, students and businesses have called this presentation impactful, life altering, attitude changing and inspirational. With the federal government planning to legalize marijuana on July 1, impaired driving prevention is more important now than ever.

Amanda spent 15 years working in law enforcement. The most common excuses she heard people use were "I'm only hurting myself what does it matter", "but that's the way I've always done it" and "but I've done it that way a hundred times before and nothing has ever happened". Every policing shift she worked, she saw and dealt with the outcome of people's decisions and actions and watched how each decision truly caused a ripple effect and affected more people than anyone could ever imagine.

However, the impact of people's decisions became all too clear for Amanda when one night, someone else's decision turned her world completely upside down. All she could do was helplessly watch as the nightmarish ripple effect caused by that one decision took place and affected more lives than even she could ever imagine. In this presentation, Amanda tells her personal story and shares with you just how far that ripple effect spread and continues to spread to this day. She also includes expert information on what causes people to make the decisions that they do, how to make the right decisions at the right time and shows why the excuses listed above are false. Also included in this session is information on current impaired driving legislation, penalties that drivers could face and how a criminal code charge could affect future opportunities in a persons life in more ways than they thought possible. A hands on activity with the Fatal Vision Alcohol Impairment Goggles and the new Marijuana Simulation Goggles is also included. Come and see if you can walk the line!

Amanda is the author of the book The Impact of One Decision which is carried Nationally by Chapters, Coles and Indigo Bookstores and Internationally by Amazon and Kindle. She is part of Manitoba Public Insurance's Friends For Life Tour (2016 & 2017), has been named as one of Alberta's Students Against Drinking and Driving (SADD) favorite speakers, was Saskatchewan's 2016 Provincial Impaired Driving Prevention Campaign Speaker and speaks at Provincial, National and International Conferences.

This presentation is truly one you do not want to miss!
